	but need more information : devices you want to sync ? do you have made any rooter upgade ? check firewalls, or any kind of network filtering ? 
	Have you tried sync between PCs over a LAN LAN, deactivate firewalls on theses PCs ? 
	Have you tried option use predifined host ? 	M1 mini Sonoma, Resilio 2.8.1
 


	iMac (2013 running Sonoma via Open Legacy patcher on external SSD), Resilio 3.1.2   
	THIS seems to be giving me 6 days to get a [free] licence. 
	But best NOT to mix v3 and V2 seems to be the advice. 
	BUT v3 requires later macOS than El Cap - so something has to give or I am looking for another system again.
 


	Any experience, comments, advice? 
	My starter idea is to down-date the iMac to 2.8.1

But if you've uninstalled Sync and removed its settings on the device you're retiring, it won't show up online anymore. To get that device back online, you would need to install Sync again from scratch and link it as a new device to your other peers. So it won't come back online, and you can just "Hide" it from the offline devices list on your other devices to keep things tidy:

MacOS often fills up the main disk with junk files (presumably for caching) and doesn't adjust the storage dynamically in response to application needs. This can result in the OS appearing to be out of storage even though it isn't. This in turns causes weird app behavior. I noticed something similar within the past month. I think the root cause is my M1 has only 16 GB of RAM and macOS is using the SSD as a page file but not cleaning up stale items. I have one desktop and one older laptop synced just fine. I am replacing the laptop with Laptop2026. I thought I understood that in the new v3 world, I could simply link the new laptop. BUT when I attempt to add it to the identity, it says I have to remove at least one of the existing devices. I attempted to 'unlink' the older laptop but I still got the message that I would 'lose' everything on the desktop. I'm confident this is my error, but :
 


	1. can I not have 3 linked devices to one identity for noncommercial license use?
 


	2. if I need to 'remove' or replace the older laptop - EXACTLY HOW?

I have used Resilio Sync for a long time, over 5 years, probably pushing 10 and it has always worked fine without a problem. Now starting about 3 months ago I have had the constant following issues:
 


	 
 


	Clients will not connect
 


	 
 


	When they do happen to connect they throw perpetual "can't download files" errors, either the orange triangle version that can be dismissed or the undismissable red circle exclamation point ones
 


	 
 


	When they aren't locked up with the file errors, and when they do connect, they sync pathetically slow, as it it reports ~300 B/s, not KB, not MB, just plain B and it truly takes that long.
 


	 
 


	I have restarted and reinstalled everything, I've tried new folders, old folders, new computers, running it in a VM, even factory resetting a phone it was on and nothing changes. Relay on or off, tracker on or off, wifi only, any network, local or over Verizon and however many hops to get home again, nothing changes.
 


	 
 


	My current, occasionally working setup is the last version of Sync running on a Windows 10 VM, all folders are pointed at a NAS, and I have multiple Windows 10 and 11 PCs along with numerous Samsung phones backing up their entire contents through sync to the NAS. I've done it for years, it always worked without issue, and I liked the fact that within 5 minutes of taking a picture or making a document, it was backed up to the NAS, it was great.
 


	 
 


	Now it may work once a week at best.
 


	 
 


	The Windows 10 client usually shows a spinning circle or "0 out of 1" clients online and the ones backing up show the similar client message, along with the phones.

	I bought the Family 5 pack and installed the licenses. Now I'm getting rid of two computers and want to deactivate the licenses. How do I do that? I've unlinked them from their identity but the still active computers show the unlinked computers as Offline. They aren't, they're completely gone so I don't want them showing up in the Disconnected list. Right now, one is still there with an error that says "Looks like this device is duplicated or already unused." How do I get rid of that rather than just hide it - it's gone for good (although still physically in the house). 	My MacBook is in the mobile hotspot of my Pixel 9 Pro and the Android app refuses to work completely if there is no internet access on the phone.
 


	I also set up local sync and the moment I connect my Pixel 9 Pro doing the hotspot to a WiFi network having internet (the hotspot stays on, working as a repeater then) or if I enable mobile network, the sync starts but over the LAN, since I get transfer speeds of 100MB/s (no possible via mobile internet or WiFi here).

I was hoping that connecting the device to my laptop would allow me to see Sync in the finder, under apps, and then be able to copy the files, but unfortunately it doesn't look like Sync supports that.
 


	Aside from using airdrop, is there another way to get files off of a Sync child iOS device?

	I have an Original Google Pixel doing my photos backup for unlimited photos storage. I have Resilio Sync setup on 3 phones (Z Fold 7, Pixel Fold and Pixel 10 Pro XL). With the Z Fold 7 being my primary phone but I use the others as well. So I have the phones syncing with Google Pixel that has Resilio Sync installed on it for all 3 phones. Then Google Photos is backing up all they photos I synced to my Google Account.
 


	 
 


	The issue is I now have a. Problem some I am out of space apparently. I wanted to know if I delete photos on my phone that have been backed up will that delete them from the phone they were synced from? What happens if I delete files (in my case photos) from the sync folder will it be delete them from the originating device as well or will r originating device resync them to the folder again?

	Description: 
	On Android, a newly created file in a shared folder is shown as “Synced” in the file info screen, even though it has not been transferred to the other device yet. At the same time, the folder itself indicates syncing is stopped/paused due to Allowed network settings (Wi-Fi only) and/or no connected peers (0 of 1).
 


	This is confusing because “Synced” (especially in Russian UI: “Синхронизировано”) strongly suggests the file is already synchronized across devices.
 


	Environment: 
	- App: Sync (Android) 
	- App version: [fill in] 
	- Android version: [fill in] 
	- Device model: [fill in] 
	- Folder type: Standard folder, Read &amp; Write 
	- Allowed network: Wi-Fi only 
	- Peers: 0 of 1 at the moment of observation 
	- Folder path: /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera
 


	Steps to reproduce: 
	1. Configure a shared folder between Device A and Device B (1 peer). 
	2. Set folder “Allowed network” to Wi-Fi only (or make the peer offline). 
	3. On Device A (currently on mobile data / or with peer disconnected), create a new photo/video in the shared folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera). 
	4. Open file details/info in the app.
 


	Actual result: 
	- File status shows “Synced” (“Синхронизировано”). 
	- Folder status indicates syncing is stopped/paused due to Allowed network, and/or peers are not connected (0/1). 
	- The file is not present on Device B yet.
 


	Expected result: 
	One of the following would be clearer: 
	A) File status should reflect pending upload/transfer when folder sync is paused or no peers are connected (e.g., “Waiting for network”, “Waiting for peer”, “Pending transfer”). 
	OR 
	B) If “Synced” is meant to be local-only, rename it to something unambiguous like “Synced locally / Indexed locally”, and show a separate “Transferred to peers” / “Available on X/Y devices” indicator.
